Long have the Yorkshire Dales been a place to visit, it is an area of valleys and hills, rivers and waterfalls and famous for its cheeses and ales. A sheep filled landscape that could have been designed by walkers and artists where hospitality flows from valley to valley from people who appreciate good food and drink, which can be found at the many county shows throughout the area.

The Dales has captured the heart of many a visitor, including the writers James Herriot and the Bronte’s.

Essential to see are the peaks of Buckden Pyke, Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent and Whernside, also a visit to the old market town of Hawes to the cheese makers of Wenslydale, a visit to the tea rooms of Harrogate, or go underground at the White Scar Caves. If the peaceful noise of flowing water is your scene then visit the waterfalls at Aysgarth, Keld and Hardraw.
